☀️ Simple Ways to Support Summer Stress (and Still Enjoy the Fun)

Because joy and exhaustion can ride in the same carpool.

I love the sunshine. I love slow sips of coffee on the porch.  I love how the animals linger in the shade and how the tomatoes ripen faster than I can pick them.

But summer also comes with its fair share of pressure—even here on the farm.

As an empty nester, I thought things would slow down.

But with my husband on the road and the goats giving me a run for my money, the “lazy days of summer” feel like a myth.

Some days it’s beautiful. Some days it’s sweaty and loud and a little too much. And most days—it’s both.

My body feels it first.

Tight shoulders. Sleepless nights. Hormonal flares. Skin that gets sensitive out of nowhere. Even the fun stuff—market days, family visits, too many late nights—can take its toll.

If you’re a mama or a woman navigating autoimmune struggles, skin sensitivities, or just too many tabs open in your brain… you know the feeling.

So let’s talk about real ways to support summer stress—without giving up the good stuff.

🌿 My Summer Reset Rituals

Here are a few gentle practices I use to enjoy the fun, without crashing from the stress:

🧴 1. Magnesium Lotion Every Night

This is my no-skip. I rub it into my feet and shoulders before bed, especially after hot days chasing goats, pulling weeds, or just living life.

Magnesium helps calm my nervous system, relax tight muscles, and support sleep.

“I couldn’t believe how much calmer my body felt at night. I use it religiously now.” — A customer who found relief from restless legs and racing thoughts

And bonus? It’s made with tallow, coconut oil, shea butter, and frankincense—so it nourishes your skin, not just your nerves.

🍑 2. Protect Your Energy Like You Protect Your Skin

Just like you wouldn’t sit outside without sunscreen…

Don’t run your whole summer without support.

Say no when you need to. Let the dishes wait. And give yourself space to breathe. Even five minutes on the porch with a cold drink can reset your nervous system.

🛁 3. Add Pockets of Peace

Summer is full of movement—but you can build in rest. It doesn’t have to be fancy.

  • Sit in the garden.

  • Read one chapter of a book.

  • Use the good lotion.

  • Light a candle with dinner, even if it’s leftovers.

Simple, sacred pauses matter.

🖤 4. Let Magnesium Be Your Soft Reset

I know it’s the product of the month—but truly, it’s my sanity-saver. So many of you have told me it helps with:

  • Nerve pain and neuropathy

  • Anxiety and tension

  • Sleep (especially for kids, too!)

  • Cramping and muscle fatigue

And in a season that asks a lot of us—our time, our emotions, our bodies—I want to offer something that gives back.

You Deserve to Enjoy Summer, Not Just Survive It

Whether your kids are grown or still underfoot…Whether your calendar is packed or you’re just trying to stay upright in the heat…

You’re doing enough. You don’t need to earn rest. And there’s no badge for burning out.

So here’s your permission: Soak up the sun. Slow down after the fun. And let something as small as a bedtime routine bring you back to center.
