Goat Sales and Requirement Policy

At Double CF Farm, we carefully place our goats in loving homes. To make sure our goats get the best care, we ask all buyers to fill out a Goat Purchase Application before buying.

This helps us:

  • Learn about your goat and livestock experience.

  • Ensure you have a safe home, fencing, and proper nutrition.

  • Confirm our goats will go to a caring, long-term home.

We can refuse to sell goats to anyone. We love our goats and want to ensure they receive the care they need. Double CF Farm is dedicated to ethical breeding and responsible sales. Please read our policy before purchasing a goat.

1. Sales & Deposits

  • A nonrefundable deposit of $50 is required to hold a goat. Deposits must be paid via Venmo, Cash, or Zelle.

  • Full payment is due at pickup or before transport arrangements are made.

  • The deposit will be forfeited if the buyer fails to complete the purchase.

2. Pricing & Availability

  • Prices vary based on age, pedigree, and quality (pet, breeding, or show quality).

  • All sales are first-come, first-served unless a deposit is received.

  • We reserve the right to retain any goat for our breeding program.

3. Health & Guarantees

  • All goats will be healthy at the time of sale.

  • Kids will be disbudded (unless polled) and updated on necessary vaccinations.

  • We do not guarantee against illness, injury, or death after the goat leaves our farm.

  • If a genetic defect is discovered within 1 month, we will work with the buyer on a fair resolution.

4. Pickup & Transport

  • Buyers must pick up their goats within 5 days of the agreed-upon date.

  • If the goat is not picked up within the timeframe and no alternative arrangements are made, the deposit is forfeited.

  • We do not offer shipping..

  • Transport costs and arrangements are the buyer’s responsibility.

5. Buyer Responsibilities

  • Goats are herd animals and must not be sold as singles unless the buyer already has other goats.

  • Buyers must have proper fencing, shelter, and nutrition to ensure the goat’s well-being.

  • We reserve the right to refuse a sale if we believe the home is not suitable.

6. No Slaughter Sales

  • We do not sell goats for meat or auction.

  • Buyers must agree not to send purchased goats to slaughter or resell them at auction.

7. Registration & Paperwork

  • Some goats may be registered with Double CF Farms, and registration paperwork will be transferred upon full payment.

  • Pet-quality goats will be sold without papers unless otherwise specified.

8. Refunds & Returns

  • No refunds will be given after the goat leaves our farm unless due to a pre-discussed health issue.

  • We do not accept returns due to buyer’s remorse, changing circumstances, or improper care.

  • If a buyer can no longer care for the goat, we will assist in finding a new home, but we do not guarantee a buy-back.
